A set of 6 Bavarian Game Bird plates with serving platter. Made in Bavaria ca 1880, by Zeh, Scherzer &Co. The large platter is 18" long by 12" wide with a Pheasant decal in the center. Each of the plates are 9" in diameter. All have wide scallops, double gold lined rim and each of the plates has a different game bird. Pheasant, quail, chukars, ducks, etc.
This is a wonderful serving set for the fall and winter seasons. There are no chips or cracks, but there fading on the gold rims, and one scratch on the pheasant in the center of the platter. Otherwise a beautiful heirloom set of game bird plates. |
