Norwegian Tine Box This is an antique tine box from Norway, ca 1800s. It is bentwood that has been curved and sewn into place. Beautifully hand painted in the Norwegian rosmaling style. The body is deep rust color, the lid dark green. Detailed hand painted flowers and leaves in rust, blue green, yellow and cream. It shows signs of age and use: The lid is cracked, but tight. The paint is worn on the handle and one side seems a little brighter than the other, as if displayed for many years with only one side out. If perfect, this antique tine box would be quite a bit more, but this wonderful piece of history is well worth preserving and displaying.
Circa: ca1800-1900
