Cast Greyhound on Marble Base Power and grace are embodied in this cast sculpture of a greyhound. On a green/black marble base. 11" tall and 7"deep x 3" wide. No signature, but a barely visible number on the underbelly. In excellent condition. A vintage piece, with a worn felt on the bottom of the marble.

Poesie Marble Sculpture An emerging head and bust of a beautiful young woman with a crown of laurel leaves, from a heavy slab of white and beige marble. An epigram is carved in the marble which is in Latin or Italian. Some of the gold highlighting is worn away, making it difficult to decipher. The title of the piece is Poesie. The style is art nouveau. A printed mark on the back says T. Mancini. One of the wreath leaves has a chip, otherwise the noble purity of the profiled young woman is in wonderful condition.
