RM Germany Woodcock Game Plate
A large game plate from Bavaria, Rheinhold Merkelbach ca 1895. It is gold trimmed with a transfer game bird, the Woodcock, with additional handpainting. There is a signature which is unreadable to my eyes. I think the initials are B K.
Some of the handpainting is worn as is one large rim area near the right upper edge. Otherwise an outstanding signed Bavarian game plate.

Sorau Porcelain Co. Celery Dish
A celery dish with an opalescent pale green rim, fluted and beaded, with garlands and baskets of tiny roses embelishment. Gold swags join the pretty roses. In the center is a spray of pink roses and an open white rose. Some wear of the opalescence but no chips, cracks or crazing.
A lovely piece.

Fine Germany Deer Charger Cobalt & Gold
A fine cobalt and blue large cabinet plate or charger, decorated in the center with a transfer print of a stag or deer in a forest scene. The plate is fluted and scrolled and has a gold filgree on the cobalt ground. A minor scratch among the gold scrolling may be found by tilting to the light, otherwise not visible.
This is an exceptional fine china plate done in the old German tradition of strict attention to details.

Exquisite Gold EncrustedTray with Pheasants
An exquisite fine china tray with encrusted gold trim on the rim and handles. A transfer brace of pheasants in a woodland scene in the center. Curved and slightly lifted edges, plus the attention to detail, take this far from the ordinary. Unmarked, but likely a German piece similar to the work from RS Germany and RS Prussia, the Schlelgemilch potteries of the late 1890s. 10" wide and 12" long and in very fine condition.
