Hydrangea Blossoms Molded Swiss Pitcher A beautiful Victorian jug or pitcher. It is 6" tall and 6" from spout to handle. Elaborately molded with a decal of maple leaf begonias in lavender and white. In excellent condition. From the mark, it seems to be from Basel, Switzerland and a pottery called Beck et Cie. There is a word that I can't make out in the mark, which may provide a further clue to this lovely pitchers origin. ca 1900.

Half Pint Tankard Silverplate A worn, heavy silverplate tankard bearing all the proper marks required to assure that is a 1/2 pint measure. It appears to be heavy copper overlaid with silver, but is quite worn and tarnished. Fully hallmarked. No dents or dings and there dosen't seem to be any pitting. I haven't attempted to polish this piece as there may not be much silver left.

There were up to 10 in a Victorian wash stand set. It is 5.5" tall and 6" wide with applied gold grapes and leaves. Some gold loss on the grapes. otherwise In excellent condition.

Salt Glaze Spongeware Pitcher A heavy salt glaze pottery water or milk pitcher, decorated with incised shell design around the upper rim. Blue and white spongeware pattern over a dark brown base. Manufacturing flaws are a glazed over bubble at lower foot, and a partially glazed crack at the spout, as shown. These were cheaply made utility vessels at the time (ca 1840s-1890s) and were prone to manufacturing flaws.
This one is considered in good but not excellent condition. 9" tall and 6" from spout to handle
