Enamelled & Gilt Ormolu Dresser Jar or Vanity Box A stunning glass powder, dresser or vanity jar heavily hand enameled in gold, white and with tiny yellow beaded flowers. The clear glass is set jewel-like in an ormolu or gilt brass frame. There are graceful acanthus leaf feet. The hinges work easily and the latch snaps closed evenly. Worked in the enamel beading on top is a 6 pointed star. An unusual, large and precious Victorian vanity jar. I have seen similar pieces attributed to Moser. Definitely a Bohemian piece. Measures 4.5" tall and approximately 4.5" wide. In excellent condition.

Made by local Northern California artist Jim Drumm, who with his wife Peggy has had a home based glass blowing studio for the last 5 years. A hobbyist at first, Jim has been slowly edging into the professional realm of glass blowing. He first studied many years under Cliff Crowder at Shasta College.
Jim has had glass blowing experiences with glass blowers from around the world, was inspired by his on hands experience at classes at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
