Johnson Bros. Souvenir Plates Geo and Martha Washington A set of these patriotic souvenir plates from the turn of the 19th-20th century are not easily found. Here is a set of 4! George and Martha Washington, the presidential seal of the USA and an image of the Congressional Library. All were made by Johnson Bros. in England, they are fine bone china, beautifully colored and trimmed in gold. some slight gold wear on the edges, but no chips or cracks. 6.25" in diameter. Also marked Tatler & Lawson. Possibly a retailer. I could find no information regarding this firm.

It is 7.5" in diameter and is scalloped and has gold filigree and trim. In very good condition, with minor wear to the gold on the rim only.

1909 Garvanza, CA Calendar Plate A beautiful calendar plate made by Homer Laughlin Co. for advertising the Garvanza Meat Market and Grocery business of R. Stuart in 1909.
Garvanza is a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles. It is generally considered a subdistrict of Highland Park. Garvanza is considered, along with Pasadena to be the birthplace of the Arts and Crafts movement.
This plate is 10" in diameter and in very good condition.
